Pre Care

One Week Before Your Appointment

​

  • Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements unless prescribed by your physician:
    aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), naproxen, fish oil, vitamin E, garlic, ginkgo, and St. John’s Wort.
    → These can increase your risk of bruising and swelling.

  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24–48 hours before treatment.

  • Do not schedule dental work or vaccinations within 2 weeks before or after filler.

  • If you are prone to cold sores, contact your injector to discuss antiviral medication prior to treatment.

  • Maintain good hydration, filler integrates best when the skin is well hydrated.

 Day of Treatment

​

  • Arrive with a clean face (no makeup, lotion, or SPF).

  • Eat something light before your appointment to avoid dizziness.

  • Please arrive alone — no children, guests, or pets are permitted in the treatment area.

  • Wear comfortable clothing; avoid tight hats, headbands, or makeup that may contact treated areas.

  • Inform your injector of any recent illness, antibiotics, or changes in your medical history.

Avoid Before Treatment

  • Tanning or sunburn on the face or neck

  • Harsh skincare (retinoids, exfoliating acids) for at least 3 days prior

  • Facials, peels, or microneedling for 1 week prior

  • Any injectable or laser treatments within 2 weeks

Post Care

DO:

  • Use a cold compress for swelling (10 mins on/off)

  • Sleep on your back with head elevated for 1–2 nights

  • Stay hydrated

  • Gently cleanse skin with a mild cleanser

Avoid for 24-48 Hours

Touching, rubbing, or massaging the area

  • Makeup (for at least 12 hours)

  • Exercise or heavy sweating

  • Alcohol, smoking, or blood thinners

  • Saunas, hot tubs, or tanning

  • Facials, lasers, or peels

What to Expect:

  • Swelling or bruising is normal and may last 3–10 days

  • Small lumps or tenderness may occur and usually resolve on their own

  • Toxin results develop in 3–14 days

  • Filler results are best seen at 10–14 day

​

 Contact us immediately if you experience:

  • Severe pain

  • Pale or blotchy skin

  • Blurred vision

  • Signs of allergic reaction or unusual symptoms
